Talk to your doctor
Talk with your doctor about the possibly of getting a Mobility Service Dog. Ask them if having a dog would help you manage pain, improve your quality of life and what a dog could potentially mean for you.
Discuss with your family
Discuss with your family and friends even. See if they will support your decision to a furry, healing helper and build your cheer squad for the journey.
Fill out an application
Download and submit our application form, have your doctor write you a letter of recommendation and write a letter yourself about why you want a service dog and how having a four-legged helper can help you live your life to the fullest.
Once your application has been accepted, you will be asked to interview and meet face to face where we will begin the nitty gritty of what you need out of a dog to live your best life.
After a successful interview, you will be placed onto a waitlist while we find a pup with the right temperament then begin working more closely with you throughout the process.
Come to training and graduate!
Once your dog is ready, you will be asked to attend a weeklong training to teach you how to properly handle your new helpmate and promote the new bond with your Service Dog.
When you have successfully completed the training week, you will graduate with your new furry, four-legged best friend!
Some follow-up meetings and check ins will occur every couple months to ensure you and your service dog are working well together and no problems arise.
